F5 Networks acquires Volterra in $500M deal

, a publicly traded provider of application security and delivery tools, announced that it is acquiring , a distributed cloud services company.

Under terms of the deal, Seattle-based F5 it will pay $440 million in cash and “approximately $60 million in deferred consideration and assumed unvested incentive compensation to founders and employees.”
